I think you'd actually make less money the more red lights you hit because you are making more money per time when you are moving. You would make a little more on each fare but you would be able to take less fares per day and make less money overall (assuming you're in a market where you can find fares more or less back-to-back).I am a taxi driver and this is 100% correct - I'd much prefer to get someone where they're going and get my next customer. I make way more driving someone around for an hour than I do sitting and letting the meter run for an hour.
